Triumph Trades Trip

Meta/Facebook invited students from all four local high schools to tour their new data center.  The Triumph crew was treated to Ranch Eats for lunch and got to don cool PPE gear for the outing.  The attending Spartans and TJ Kirkbride, Triumph’s Career Counselor, walked around and looked at the facility which is currently under construction.  Several of the workers spoke briefly about their career paths emphasizing how great the trades were in general.  The Spartan students attending were all interested in learning about possible futures trades as an option after graduation.  They learned about everything from operating the crane to HVAC to electrical installation to pouring concrete, etc.  Students heard from foremen or supervisors and there were several that were second-year apprentices. The brief foray was a success and gave these students some ideas and information to guide their journeys through finishing high school and beyond.
