The newly reinvigorated Spartan sports tradition visited Storey Gym once again on April 28, 2026. The Triumph boys basketball crew played a spirited game against the boys from Cathedral Home who once again journeyed from Laramie. The game was fast-paced and frenetic at times and saw both teams display signs of brilliance and inexperience in almost equal measure. The Spartan ballers ended the contest ahead in points, but both teams had fun and seemed to enjoy the game regardless. The sportsmanship and discipline both teams demonstrated was impressive and there was real camaraderie in evidence in the handshake line after the game. Or maybe it was just the draw of the imminent pizza feast the teams were next to enjoy. Either way, the tradition seems to be riding a positive wave and the basketball and volleyball contests will happen again next year with the possibility of others to be added.
